Savannah Park, a suburb of Durban, is Isiseko Imara’s most recent partnership. Common challenges include high youth unemployment, reliance on social grants, and variable access to services, including piped water and electricity. Reflective of many townships around Durban, it struggles with crime, drug use, teenage pregnancies, and family pressure due to economic hardship. Isiseko Imara partners with coach Thabo to mentor young boys and teach them soccer. One of the main challenges that Thabo believes his young boys face is a lack of support from their families. His main goal is to support the young boys as they grow up, help them see their potential, and find a way to achieve it.
